Sadly that just isn't the case._Joker by Brian Azzarello Ebook Epub PDF ykv The inconsistency is enough for me to drop it down to 3 stars, if that art ran through the book entirely and the last two-thirds of the writing matched the start of the book, I'd call it perfect. I enjoyed Joker but that's because certain parts were beautiful to look at and certain parts of the writing really excelled, but not all of it. Certain parts of the story don't have the payoff I was hoping for and when all is said and done I felt the book promised more than it offered up. However, just because the idea is interesting doesn't mean it's necessarily successful. It adds an interesting viewpoint to the story as you see how normal, everyday people view someone like the Joker versus seeing how is arch nemesis views him which is arguably the same in every book. I would love to see that idea applied to heroes, villains, and even more minor characters. Seeing the story of a major criminal from the perspective of a thug seems really interesting to me. Writing wise I was very intrigued by the idea of Joker but it didn't live up to the hype that its first pages seem to usher in. While I wish the whole book could've been in the first art style I got by just fine with the other art style, it's not awful just not on par with the other style it has to compete with. There is a clear distinction within the book as it has two different art styles, one I absolutely love and. Review 2: I was impressed with Joker.at first. It is also fun to anticipate how The Joker can turn a normal situation into something insane. The comic is like a window for a part of the world we never get to see. Even if it is somewhat trivial, but seeing joker getting a ride, sitting in a bar, doing all of these menial stuff just felt great. I love this idea, because you get to see stuff that you never see.

The story is from the perspective of one of the joker's henchmen. I love these comics that go out of the norm in terms of its storyline. Review 1: Read this on the plane ride to Korea and wow.
